Our children collected an amazing £1400 for Trocaire. Well done!

Our School.

“Search, Strive, Serve and Smile.”

St. Malachy’s Primary School is a Catholic Maintained Co-educational School. The school was opened in 1987 as a result of the amalgamation of St. Colman’s Boys' Primary School and St. Malachy’s Convent Girls’ School.

There are many books written and many things said about education. There are many approaches to education, each flourishing and receding  with predictable regularity, as teachers struggle to balance educational vogues with practical reality.

In St. Malachy's our motto reflects the core beliefs that we hold close. Our quest is to inspire children to develop a love of learning. To nurture in them a work ethic to help them fulfil their full potential. To instil a sense that service and generosity to others is a fulfilling way of life. Very importantly that sharing time with others should be a happy experience and that school and learning should be challenging but fun.
